This week I went on a super-quick trip to NYC. I was there for less than 48 hours but found time to mail a few postcards, have a backyard hang session with some good friends, and, of course I made time to visit my current favorite bar in Brooklyn.
a few things that I am excited about
- New census data! For real y’all, do you know how excited geographers get about this? It’s serious business. We’ve been talking about it for the past two years, at least.
- The end of the semester (three more weeks, two final papers, two presentations, and an exam away). I am just a wee bit burnt out right now.
- Moving to a neighborhood where I will live within a few blocks of numerous friends. This will be the summer of intimate dinner parties, backyard hang sessions, and evening wanderings/adventures. I am so ready for this.
- Planning a trip to Minneapolis. It’s going to happen, I swear. I know I keep putting it off, but I’m determined to make there this summer.
